Exploring China Policy Studies from a Global Perspective: Theory and Practice
June 14-16, 2024
Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China
Conference Theme
As globalization continues to advance, closer cooperation among countries is required to address common challenges. China policy studies not only pertain to the internal stability and prosperity of the nation but also involve active participation and contributions to the global governance system, concurrently driving the general knowledge growth of policy science. With public policy becoming a secondary discipline under the primary discipline of public management in China, China Policy Studies are poised to become a crucial domain for the transformation and development of the field of public policy.
To promote global perspectives on China policy studies, and to facilitate the alignment of China policy studies with global public policy theory and practice, the School of Government at Beijing Normal University (BNU) and the Chinese Policy Scholar Group (CPSG) jointly initiate the International Conference on China Policy Studies (ICCPS). The theme of the inaugural conference is “Exploring China Policy Studies From a Global Perspective: Theory and Practice.” This conference aims to provide an exchange platform for international academia and policymakers to collectively explore the latest research findings, theoretical discussions, and practical experiences in the field of Chinese public policy.
Through this conference, we hope to foster a deeper understanding of Chinese public policy among the international academic community, encouraging more scholars to focus on this field, promoting extensive collaboration in Chinese public policy research, and creating an open, inclusive, and innovative research atmosphere. We expect to drive the internationalization of Chinese public policy research, contributing Chinese wisdom and experience to the development of theory and practice in the global public policy arena, and enhancing a comprehensive and profound global understanding of Chinese public policy.
