The delegation from College of William and Mary visit School of Government

On the afternoon of May 21, 2019, Professor Stephen Hanson, Associate Dean of International Affairs, Professor Berhanu Abegaz, Head of the Department of Economics, and Assistant Professor Daniel Maliniak, Department of Government in College of William and Mary, are Accompanied by Wang Deliang, who is the Associate Professor of the Confucius Institute at the College of William and Mary and visited the School of Government. The vice president of the School of Government, Guo Jia, and Professor Guan Xiaoyu, welcomed the guests in the 509 meeting room.

College of William and Mary is located in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. It is one of the famous public universities in the United States and famous as "public Ivy League University". Meanwhile, it’s the second-largest university in the United States after Harvard University. Vice President of Government School Guo Jia welcomed the visit of Professor Stephen Hanson and introduced the basic situation of the subject discipline. Professor Guan Xiaoyu introduced the existing international exchange projects of the Government School. The three teachers at College of William and Mary also exchanged information about the college's majors, the number of students, and existing international projects. The two sides reached a preliminary consensus on the establishment of 1+1+1 and 3+2 double degree programs, mutual exchange of scientific research cooperation between teachers, and short-term foreign-related visits to promote cooperation between the two sides in the field of teaching and research.

The meeting was successfully completed. Our school presented Chinese gifts to the three teachers of College of William and Mary and took a group photo. We are looking forward to more and more cooperation, to provide more and better international exchange platform for teachers and students of our school.
