The Beijing Normal University team won the "4th China University Human Resources Vocational Skills Competition -Northern Regional Competition"

From October 12 to 13, 2018, the 4th China University Student Human Resources Professional Skills Competition (HRU) Regional Competition was held in Shandong Industrial and Commercial College jointly sponsored by China Labor Relations College and Labor Economics Association.

Under the guidance of Prof. Ke Jianglin, Director of the Department of Human Resource Management of the School of Government Management, a team of four students from the 2016 Human Resources Management Major, Li Shilin, Xu Zishu, Liu Yining and Zhang Xinwen, after a two-day intense competition, won the first prize and received the invitation letter from the organizer for the finals. We will participate in the HRU Finals of the 4th China University Human Resources Professional Skills Competition held in Beijing from November 23rd to 25th. In addition, Li Shilin won the special award of practical design, Xu Zishu won the first prize of case analysis, Liu Yining won the second prize of non-leader-group discussion, and Zhang Xinwen won the third prize of scenario simulation.

The competition was divided into scenario simulation, non-leader-group discussion, case analysis, practical design and English speech. The Northern Division covered Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, and Inner Mongolia. There were 18 university teams including Renmin University of China, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Nankai University.

At 8 o'clock on the morning of October 12, the team of Beijing Normal University and other teams arrived in Shandong Institute of Business and Technology. At 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the contestants carried out the design process in the three-hour practical design. The contestants combined their materials with their professional knowledge and office skills to complete the PPT production.

At 8 o'clock the next day, the opening ceremony was held in the lecture hall on the first floor of the library. Subsequently, the four venues began. Each venue was first conducted in an English-speaking session. The fluent English and free response of the contestants were unanimously praised by the judges. The scenario simulation of the main stadium and the non-leader-group discussion, the case analysis and the practical design were carried out at the same time. The judges composed of university teachers and business representatives put forward professional suggestions for the performance of the players. The outstanding performance of the players and the professional reviews of the judges showed the extraordinary charm of human resource management and the hope of the future of applied talent development.

The professional ability, comprehensive quality and spiritual outlook of our school team in the practical design, case analysis, and no leadership group discussion were unanimously recognized by the judges. Our school has achieved outstanding results in this competition. It is not only the result of the full preparation and excellent performance of the four students, but also the strong support from our government management school. This competition not only tested the results of the teaching quality of human resources management subjects, but also stimulated students' interest in learning professional knowledge, laying a solid foundation for the development of innovative talents and applied talents.
